Howdy Friends, On Mon last in my capacity as Chair of FOWS I attended a seminar at Manchester Town Hallway entitled `` The Hereafter of Rail the North. The Speakers were Stephen Hammond MP, Shadow Conveyance Curate Edward Timpson MP, Crewe & Natwich Councillor Ian Macdonald, Frailty Chair GMITA Paul Plummer, Manager, Planning & Ordinance, Web Railing It was competently chaired by Video Presenter Andy Crane.

There were plentifulness of discourses about the Manchester Hub ( not but about Manchester ) that is a major constriction on the railing web that negatively impacts on railing services for the whole of the North of England and the proposal of a high-velocity line from London to Glasgow, which would include a halt at Manchester. It was fortunate that Cllr Iain Lindley who was attendant foregrounded to the panel the importance likewise of the issues relating local railing stations such as Walkden, yes! Walkden got a reference!!

I holded the opportunity to see a couple of of the top brass and distribute the word about FOWS, Tom Wadsworth, Communications Director of Web Railing, Emma Pemberton-Eccles, Populace Affairs Director Web Railing and even a speedy word and a photo op with Stephen Hammond, MP, Shadow Conveyance Curate.
